Growing Us exists to support emotional development in the early years by empowering caregivers and nurturing relationships.

Welcome to Growing Us Play Therapy Sunshine Coast text graphic.

As a Master-qualified Child & Family Play Therapist on the Sunshine Coast, I created Growing Us as a safe space for caregivers and children as they navigate the complex and beautiful journey of growing up together.

Through developmentally-aligned therapy and thoughtful consultation with parents and educators, I help grown-ups understand what’s beneath behaviour, getting to the root cause of the struggle to foster deep, lasting change from within.

The Growing Us Way is play-powered and connection-focussed, grounded in attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology and the therapeutic powers of play. Children thrive within deeply connected relationships; and play is how we power up that potential!

If this resonates with you… welcome! You’re exactly where you need to be.

Something brought you here.

Let’s follow that feeling.

Hey! I’m Ginny.

Play Therapy Sunshine Coast Child Counselling

I’ve spent the last decade learning everything I can about how kids grow, feel, play, relate and make sense of the world. I’ve got the highest clinical qualification for Play Therapy in Australia (a Master of Child Play Therapy!), years of experience teaching little kids, and a firm belief that when we grow the relationship, we grow the child.

As a Play Therapist on the Sunshine Coast, I work with children (aged 3–10) who are having a tough time. I also work closely with the grown-ups who love them – whether it’s parents, educators, foster carers or grandparents. It’s an honour to be a part of the village.

And, as a mum myself of one delicious little boy, you can bet that this work is deeply personal for me. I know how loud the “am I getting this right?” voice can be, and how overwhelming it is when we’re bombarded with conflicting advice. I also know that when we focus on reflection and relationship, everything starts to shift.

So if you’re ready for support that makes sense for your child’s development (and someone in your corner who’ll empower and champion you to find YOUR path), I can’t wait to connect with you. 🌱
