Cancellation Policy

No surprises, no stress! Here’s how cancellations work at Growing Us, so you know exactly how to roll if plans need to change.

  • Play Therapy isn’t a quick fix. It’s a whole relationship. And like any good relationship, it thrives on consistency. Showing up regularly helps your child feel safe, build trust, gain momentum and get the most out of therapy. Consistency supports predictability, and predictability supports security.

It also helps me keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, so I can keep business afloat, serve my current families well and keep waitlists moving.

That said, I’m a parent too. I understand that life happens! Little ones get sick, routines shift, life throws us curveballs. So when that happens, here’s our game-plan. 👇

  • If you let me know before 4pm the day prior to your child’s session, no fee applies. Just flick an email to hello@growingus.com.au or reply to your reminder.

If you cancel after 4pm the day before, you’ll be charged 50% of the session fee.

Missing the session without notice is considered a no-show, and 100% of the session fee applies. Full payment is required before your next session can go ahead.

  • While I do everything I can to avoid cancellations, I am a solo practitioner and occasionally there are unavoidable circumstances on my end. If I ever need to cancel, there’s no fee, and we’ll reschedule as soon as possible.

  • Unavoidable events (e.g. an accident, a family crisis, etc) are assessed case-by-case. Please let me know as soon as you’re able and I’ll do my best to support you.

    • If your child’s session is held at school or an early learning centre, please notify them if you’re cancelling.

    • You’ll receive an email reminder 3 days before your session, as well as a text reminder the day before.

    • If cancellations become frequent (e.g. 3 or more within a short window), we’ll check in to see if now is the right time for therapy.
